Preincarnated History: Akiko @ the Kamen rider wiki
Akiko ends up taking over the Narumi detective agency and works with Shotaro and Philip who at first she tries to kick out. The agency happens to take cases related to Dopants, and Shotaro and Philip turn in to Kamen Rider W in order to fight them. Akiko just ends up being the tag along most of the time and takes care of the behind the scenes work.
She ended up going undercover in the Money Dopant case, and was nearly killed before Shotaro and Philip showed up to take down the dopant. She went undercover since it was the fastest way to get to the root of the problem and she wanted to save their client from giving away what little they had left in order to gamble. Again she went undercover for the Sweets Dopant case since it was the only way to investigate it and she wanted to help her client out by going in head first. She also ended up protecting her client by throwing a chair at the dopant and stated that protecting the client is the most important thing you can do while working on a case, something she learned from her father. During the Puppeteer Dopant case she takes on a doll as her client in order to allow the little girl she had met before to rest in peace. She went head first against the dopant and had to tell Shotaro and Ryu to stop so she could just talk it out with the person behind the dopant attacks.
Through-out the series she has a crush on Ryu Terui, which ends in her dating him and then getting married post series.
Reincarnated History:
Hikaru's father had been working a case in Locke city when she was a child, but the out come of the case was him being gunned down by his own partner who then vanished. Finding out that he was dead caused her to become sad, even though her mother and other family tried their best to try and cheer her up and get things back to normal it took awhile for her to get back to her clear cut happy self. Her mother doesn’t end up remarrying but over time she shows interest in trying to find someone. Hikaru doesn't mind since it'll make her mother happy, though she worries about people forgetting about her father from time to time. Her family stayed Osaka since her mother’s family was there and served as a support net for her, there was also the family business there so they can't really leave since there was no one to take over. They never did find his body in the old skyscraper building he was gunned down in, since it was burned to the ground soon after. Hikaru never gave up hope that maybe he was still out there even after all these years and was in-hiding. She had decided from that day on that she would find a way to get to Locke city and find out the truth behind that case and what really happened to her father along with tracking down his ex-partner who was the cause of it all.
She worked at the family business which was a taiyaki / food stand from a young age and had saved up most of her money. Since she was determined to get to Locke city at some point in her life and it would cost a lot of money. Hikaru doesn't mind spending money but for the most part if she can save she will, since she's worried about not having enough when she goes out on her own. So she ends up not going out with friends a lot or just ends up doing things that don’t cost a lot of money or are free.
Over the years she studied English due to her desire to study abroad, she quickly was able to pick it up and speak it without any problems. When she turned 18 she decided to apply to a college in Locke city in order to start investigating what really happened. She decided on a criminal justice major since it would help her gain the connections and skills she would need to find out what really happened during that case. While her mom didn't want her to go abroad for school she accepted it on the terms that Hikaru pay for her own housing over there. Since she is an only child they had enough money to send her to school, but not enough to cover room and board if she went some place far away. Since she figured that alone would cause her to come home within a year or so when she ran out of money.
While her English skills were fairly good she had a hard time adjusting to Locke city. The first year was a bit rough tackling class and jobs here and there to pay the rent / make sure she had enough money to get by. She managed to get through it and after a year or so she was able to feel comfortable with where she was. While in Locke city she missed her mother and other family members a lot and wanted to go home, but she knew going back would just show that she gave up instead of trying to reach her end goal. So instead she ended up calling, skyping and e-mailing them a lot to stay in touch. Hikaru lives in a very small apartment that she was able to rent for a decent price. Though it's a little out of the way from anything, she doesn't mind since she can ride a bike or take the bus. She also took up odd jobs here and there to help earn money in order to prove her mother wrong about going home within a year.
Three years had passed and she had turned 21 and gained an internship with a local detective agency that had ties with her father. Though she lied and said she wanted to work there not because of her dad but due to her interest in being a detective. Her work for the agency is a mix between going out first hand for cases that deal with small white collar crime or being in charge of money since the agency seems to run in to a lot of problems of not charging enough or not letting clients pay.
First Echo:
September 6th, Akiko finds a white fedora hanging on the wall of her apartment that belongs to her dad, she briefly remembers the agency with Shotaro and Philip in it when she first arrived in Fuuto before taking it as a dream she had.
Preincarnation Personality:
Akiko is very black and white and clear cut when it comes down to how the world works. She was raised in Osaka and her family was simple and pretty normal besides the fact her dad was away for most of her life. She doesn’t remember much about her dad but she respected him and loved him a lot and wants to keep his detective agency running with the values he tried to uphold. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and will always protect her client just like her dad did; which is clear after the Sweets and puppeteer dopants which have her going in to the front lines and protecting her clients even though she’s normal and not very good at fighting.
Often times she doesn’t get what’s going on or when new information is given to her she says “I didn’t hear about this!” mainly because again her view of the world is very black and white, so things out of the norm are well hard for her to really get completely. Akiko also tends to say random things that might be connected to the case hoping it matches up or happens to be the clue needed to solve things, which come in handy since they tend to be just the keywords needed for Philip to search.
She also tends to lose her temper a lot, and will hit people over the head with a green slipper when they get out of line. Along with pulling people’s ears and trying to take over the conversation, for the most part it’s just in Shotaro’s case when he decides not to charge people or go head first in to something that’s clearly trouble. She also hits people to knock them out of it and get them back to their senses and always keeps a set of slippers in her bag in case it’s needed. Akiko also tends to get mistaken for a middle schooler due to how she acts, even though she’s 20-21 during the series. This again sets off her temper and will cause her to ignore whatever you said then get a comment with “beautiful” or something else along those lines referencing herself. She also can’t really say no to money and hates when Shotaro decides to not charge people when he takes on a case, which again sets off her short temper because without money the agency can’t run.
Akiko also treats Shotaro and Philip like her family; since her dad isn’t around anymore she has Shotaro be his replacement for big moments in her life. Like when she married Ryu she was going to have Shotaro walk her down the aisle. She also ends up trying to cheer everyone up when Philip was going to vanish after their last case by holding a party. Even if the two of them cause a lot of problems for her she still wants to keep them around because they’re her family now.
Any differences:
The big difference is that Akiko isn’t as silly / comic relief, she has a clear goal in mind and is more active in trying to reach it instead of just going case to case like she normally is. She also doesn’t have a group of friends that becomes her new family, so she’s a bit more distant with people instead of clingy. Akiko also is sort of sad when people bring up the case related to her father instead of accepting it and saying how he was a hero for what he believed in and why he took on the case related to Philip.
There is also the lack of temper or at least she doesn’t have as many outbursts and won’t hit people with a slipper if they get on her nerves, instead she handles it in a more adult way. Overall instead of acting childish Akiko managed to grow up and become an adult instead of fooling around or going off on people like she had been doing. She still maintains the sense of clear cut views and actions, but won’t go off as much when told new information or thrown in to a new situation.
Abilities:
Sleep talking - Akiko can manage to go in to detail about what's going on in her dreams while she is asleep. People can also hold full conversations with her while she's asleep and she'll remember what happened after waking up.
Roleplay Sample - Third Person:
Akiko was off in a nearby park looking for a lost cat that was for their recent case. Normally lost pets weren’t something they took up but it was a dry spell lately and money was money so accepting the case was the only thing to do. Problem was that Fuuto was a big city and said cat could be anywhere, Akiko wasn’t really that great at pet finding it was one of her pitfalls when it came to being a detective.
“Shotaro is better at this, why didn’t he come along!”
She sighed; of course the half boiled detective was already busy with something else and had just decided to leave the case to her instead of taking it up himself. All of which was done without her consent and just piled up on her since she was the chief.
“Maybe I should text Ryu or Philip and see if they have any leads… but that seems like I’m giving up too quickly.”
If it was one thing she hated it was not being able to finish a case or help her client. She was determined to find the missing cat at any costs, even if it was just a standard missing pet case that wasn’t really dangerous or even hard by most standards.
“ Alright Akiko, you can do this one more look around the park and then move on to the next area!”

With the recent string of events going on, it’s sort of hard to follow what’s really going on. Aliens… the police force maybe being bad.
[ She sighs, normally this wouldn’t be that big of a deal but it’s all happening at once and well she didn’t hear about any of it. ]
Honestly, it’s all sort of a pain since no one wants to open a case meaning I don’t have much work. I won’t have enough money to make the rent at this rate! [ Of course she’s being a little overdramatic since it’s related to money and her wellbeing. ]
